I don’t have double vision anymore but have a hard time parking, poor sense of space. I requested a handicapped sign and it helps a lot.

My memory was affected by MG but became worse after catching Covid 2 months ago. I hope it doesn’t get worse with time.

I’ve been taking melatonin for years (3mg) without any side effects except falling asleep quickly. It’s also supposed to be good for “everything” like Vit D. I rather take that than anti depressant.

I have fairly good balance because I do the leg press at the gym 3/4 times a week, I tried to push my weight, 110lbs. It keeps me from falling, best machine in the gym. If you sit properly, it doesn’t harm the knees and strenghten my thighs.

So interesting! Wonder if it could help with brain fog by delivery acetylcholine directly to the brain.

I never had muscle twitching with mestinon but I much prefer the supplement Huperzine A; it works just as well as Mestinon without the side effects.

Statins can cause MG in some people. Better stay away from them as you might not be able to reverse it next time. Diet with lots of vegi will lower cholesterol

I would look for a different neurologist with experience with MG, you can get rid of double vision with medication like IVIG, mestinon, prednisone…I can’t believe you had that problem for so long, it is so annoying.

  • Aspirin thins your blood and improve circulation and would make you feel better if your blood was too thick; good idea to see the cardiologist.

You open my eyes! I’m slowly lowering my prednisone from 7mg to 5 and notice my eye more blurry. I thought it might be the Vyvgart injection that I started but it can be the lower Prednisone dose. What is the best dose for you? I started at 60mg and lost 1 1/2 inc. in less than a year, I just wanted out of prednisone, but I want my vision too. Thank you so much, my neuro didn’t make the connection.

You can’t stay on steroid forever unless a minute dose. I don’t sleep easily, I fond CBD helpful.

Pyridostigmine give me diarrhea, I found a substitute, Huperzine A, just as effective, no side effects.

Just starting my second month of Vvygart and notice some improvements with the bladder, maybe less urination. That would be great if I don’t gain weight as a result. I keep a urinal next to my bed at night as I get up once and last night I slept through!

My double vision is gone since I had Ivig during a crisis in March. I hate double vision. My left eye was blurry in the morning but since I started Vyvgart last month, my vision is better.

Have you thought of cutting down Pyridogstamine, with Ultomiris you might not need that much. I’m surprised it’s not helping your double vision, what is it helping you with?

I take Huperzine A, better than Mestinon and not so many poops. I cut mestinon in half. Doctors only know phaemaceuticals.

Are you also taking. Mestinon? I’m lowering from 20mg Prednisone to 10mg, no problem, also taking Huperzine A supplement, very helpful.

Trying to reply to your post, Huperzine is no snake oil, it’s the treatment of choice for MG in Chinese medicine. I like it better than Mestinon, I’m sure most neurologists don’t know about it. Thanks for posting, more people should know about it
