The symptom that caught the MG for me was the ocular connection with droooping eyelids…. but when the doctor started me on Prednisone and the Pyri Rx, my eye lid went back up from geing completely closed down within 48 hurs. The double vision is also less and now almost gone completely. The “pyri” caused tummy upsets, so we have since stopped…[Read more]

I am seronegative and am VERY interested in joining your seronegative group. Please keep me on the list.
I am currently on IVIG every week. I have been offered mestinon, but it makes me very nervous and does not seem to work very much. My legs are so weak I spend most of my day in bed…this can’t be good for me.
I am getting very depressed…[Read more] -

I’ve had MG for almost 20 years but I ran into this quote by Pablo Picasso that keeps me going: “The Meaning of life is to find your gift and the purpose is to give it away”.

I was fortunate to have responded positively to the Moderna vaccine with a positive Covid titer 2 weeks after the first series. I got a double shot of Evusheld (so I didn’t have to return for a second shot) in March. My family physician has ordered a second Evusheld treatment in September because she (an infectious disease specialist) said t…[Read more]

My neurologist suggested taking it but I stopped after a year. Saw the warnings and didn’t notice any difference one way or the other. Need to go by what you are feeling, no one size fits all as we know. I was given Cipro and it is a Black Box Warming. Both Neurologist and Primary said don’t worry. Developed breathing issues so I tend to err on…[Read more]

Before I retired, I had to travel — Field Service Engineer.
Now I’m content to work on the outside of the house during the summer, and the inside in the winter.
If we go anywhere, we continue to mask up and minimize contact. (Yesterday there were 101,711 new cases of COVID-19 in the US, 667 in our state.)
