• What health topic would you benefit from understanding better?

January is International Quality of Life Month! Many people focus their New Year’s resolutions on physical and mental health, relationships, financial goals, and habits they believe will enhance their lives.

I challenge you to make it a goal this month to further your knowledge about your health. What health topic would you benefit from understanding better?

OR, if there is an aspect of your health you have been neglecting, I encourage you to dedicate this month to booking an appointment that will bring you closer to finding answers or improving.

What works better, Mestinon or Pyridostigmine? And the best Pharmceutical Co. makes the best? I belong to the VA and it changes. The best I had was from Major Pharmaceutical Co. but they don’t have it anymore. I would love to find out who has it for sale.

Mestinon is a brand of the medication Pyridostigmine 🙂

I understand that Pyridostimine is the GENERIC form of Mestinon.

I think I’d benefit from understanding stress management better. It’s something that’s easy to overlook, but it affects both mental and physical health. I’d like to learn more about practical ways to handle stress in daily life.

2025 Medicare has limited the cap on prescription drugs to $2,000 out of pocket expenses. How will this apply to infusions such as IVIG, Ultomiris, Vyvgart, etc.? Not sure if infusions are considered maintenance or required therapies for MG.

There are not enough Success Stories in on-line support groups. What can be done?

Support groups provide absolutely essential support and information for the newly diagnosed, but it was terrifying for me with my three-day-old MG diagnosis. I eventually learned that people who are well on the way to having controlled symptoms, don’t feel the need to visit the support group as often. Also, as my symptoms improved, I didn’t want to appear to be “bragging” , to the members that depend on daily support just making it through their day.
