<p style=”text-align: left;”>Been reading on the subject and looking at the research. I’ve found that roughly 17% of those patients with MG had prior West Nile virus infection. I had always hypothesized that could possibly have been a trigger for my MG. I had a case of moderate WNV in December of 2015. Did not know this illness was WNV until I started having involuntary muscle twitches of the distal muscles in my calves and arms. Very scary. I went to see the doc who tested me for Lyme’s. The marker #41 was positive but he td me that it was t Lyme’s and I felt he ” blew me off” . I made an appointment with an infectious disease specialist which tested my blood for MANY different infections. 15+ tubes were drawn, when the results were in; they showed a fairly recent WNV. He got it. After that, saw the neurologist. He diagnosed me with lower motor neuron syndrome. The twitching subsided but there was still weakness. Fast forward + 2 yrs, started having significant proximal muscle weakness. Additionally, I started seeing halos and diplopia. Seeing the neurologist again, I was diagnosed with anti ACH positive . If I didn’t know the connection, I’m sure many of my MG community doesn’t know. Taking the rare diagnosis of MG as 30 persons per million. Add myself and possibly some of you. That significantly bumps that percentage. I’m so glad I’ve seen those articles of research. Wondering how many of you actually had WNV  preceding your MG. Even one or more of us, bumping up that percentage is of clinical significance. The research feels B and T cell mimicry after the WNV could have been a causal agent. Please let me know if any of my fellow MG community have had WNV. Post to this if you have.</p>
