• MG and Prostate Cancer

I am not sure where to post this question, but decided to ask my issue in this area.

I have been battling MG for roughly 8 years and was pleased to realize that earlier this year I was feeling much better, considering, as the medication and infusion treatments I am on seem to be keeping the symptoms mostly at bay. However, this past August I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I was placed on harmone treatment which includes having an Eligard injection and taking Biacalutamide medication on a daily basis. As a result of this treatment it seems all my MG symptoms have returned with avenges. The current symptoms mainly include severe fatique, weakness in my muscles along with pain in my arms and legs, exhaustion during the day and having difficulty swollowing. I also devloped an irregular heart beat.

Since the harmone treatment is causing me to have hot flashes, and my body does not like heat or cold, the hot flashes within my body seems to be causing my MG symptoms to return and even become more sever than I have encountered for years. At least in my opinion. As a result of the irregular heart beat I am starting to be treated by a cardiologist. I have never had an irregular heart issue before.

I will be discussing my issues with my physician next week, and he is aware that I have stopped taking the harmone medication. I guess my question is have others experienced this issue, or am I incorrectly assuming the harmone medication is aggravating my MG symptoms? Any advice on this issue would be most helpful. Thank you

Just an update to my posting above, and that is I forgot to indicate the major symptom that has returned and that is my breathing has gotten much worse as well. Sorry about leaving that important factor out.
