You should all be aware of a Pharmaceutical fact I MULTIPLE checked for accuracy with several drug companies (TEVA, HIKMA, ROXANE), and a psychopharmacologist at my Rx insurance company; EXPRESS SCRIPTS. Any of you can call these people yourselves but they’ll only speak to you; if you sound like you know what you’re doing. I have 16-years medical professional experience and continually research more info.

Generic active ingredient medications of the same drug from one company to the next can legally (FDA Rule) vary by 10% either way, which means one can be 10% higher, another can be 10% lower; for a total net difference of 20%! So when a pharmacy tells you there’s no difference in generics- tell them exactly what I just told you here and watch them try to lie more, or their chins will hit the floor. This is a well hidden fact amongst BIG PHARMA and the FDA!

I’m sure most of you have had new generics work differently, or even not at all; THIS IS WHY. As patients we need to know the truth, but they hide so much from us it’s absurd.

Walgreen could get me only 30 pills. Mfg now says June 20th before anymore will be available. Anyone else still having issues.

Do you have any idea what manufacturer they ordered from? I live in TN near Nashville and I finally found a CVS that had the 180mg ER. They had 3 month’s worth, but now they have run out and say it is on back order. I’m calling around to pharmacies all over middle TN, but no one has it or knows how long it will take to get it.

I have written before on this subject

I was having bad night time side effects from the 60 mg pills taking them every 6 hours I had bad leg cramps during the night

When I switched to 2 180mg pills one morning and one at night

    The cramps subsided

In the interim I have been able to reduce it down to one pill a day which I take every morning with my breakfast

I use to be able to order it from Costco and get them the next day

The last time I ordered them it took a little over a week and I noticed that they changed to a different manufacturer

The best part is that medication supplement from WellCare now covers the entire cost saving me over &100 per 60 day period

They had covered the 60mg but balked at the 180mg until I got the doctor to write them

Check with Costco and I order 2 weeks in advance

    Hope this helps

I went through this issue when I was on 30mg tabs which the manufacturers supposedly stopped making. I had to cut the 60mg and they of course crumbled everywhere. I had to get an extra rx so I could get enough. I’ve since learned to ask for an extra rx on all my pills, one for mail order and one for the local pharmacy. That way I can start stockpiling somewhat by staggering the filling of them between the two by a week or so. Since then I’ve never run out but have the equivalent of an extra 3 months supply of almost all of them and I’m stress free as much as can be I guess

I too take the 180mg ER capsules, and my local pharmacy told me they were almost out and were unable to order more. I called my National Mail order pharmace – Espress scripts, and they told me that there is currently a shortage, but that the manufacturers had told them that the shortage should be over by end of June or early July, which made me feel better because I currenly have a 90 day supply in my bathroom.

    Hello,

For 3 months I was only able to get a thirty day supply of the pyridostigmine 180 mg ER and it cost me $187! When usually it costs me $10. My last refill I was shocked to find out that they actually gave me 90 day supply and only charged me $30. The pharmacist at CVS hated that the medication had costs me so much and was hard to find. I hope you are able to get what you need ASAP at a decent price.

Picked up a 90 day supply today. Was able to obtain from first pharmacy contacted. apparently the supply issues for this drug have begun to ease.
