I use a device called The Breather you can Google it. Seems to help my breathing. I use it every day.

Thanks for sharing that! It’s always helpful to hear about tools that are actually making a difference for others. Do you feel like using The Breather has changed how much energy you have throughout the day, or does it mostly help with lung strength?

I believe it has strengthen my lungs and anything that helps be breathe more helps with my energy. The device has different settings for inhaling and exhaling. I started at the low setting and increased each week.

I just started breathing exercises a few days before I had a breathing problem. They calmed me down and gave me control which really saved me from panicking. I had to put my cpac machine on anyway for a few hours but when I took it off I knew the exercises would help me. My pulmonologist gave me these links:

That’s such a helpful tip, Tina. Moving forward, it’s great to have that peace of mind that something as simple as breathing exercises can make such a big difference when things start to spiral. Thanks for sharing those links too! Having a resource like that is ready when we need it is terrific. Have you found a favorite video or exercise so far? -Jodi, Patient Advocate
