Feelings about Scars
Ever since my thymectomy surgery, I have been trying to make my scar look better. Whenever I scar, I tend to get keloids, which is when the skin grows too much over a scar and leaves a big bump.
I’m proud of what my scar represents but I really don’t like the way it looks. How do you feel about your MG-related scars? Like me, do you have mixed feelings? What do they mean to you?

I never let anyone see my sternum scar. I don’t like looking at it myself although it is one of many that I carry. It’s right there in the mirror when I brush my teeth. It’s been almost 3 years and I guess it’s not going to look any better. But I wince every time I look at it.
