First of all I take 60mg of pyridostigmine 4times a day. I occasionally have diarrhea for no apparent reason, at those times I use over the counter Imodium as directed on the box. Have had no issues or recurrent symptoms. My pyridostigmine is only good for a little over 4 hours before symptoms (double vision) will start to return.

    1. I have omg and initially was treated with only mestinon. That was effective for about a year but the double vision returned and now I am on prednisone and mestinon. So far everything is under control, Doctor is trying to establish what is the minimum prednisone dosage I need to control the symptoms. Have had omg for three years.

I am currently taking 60mg 4times a day but was taking a great deal more during my last major episode, that was when my Doctor introduced me to the 180 extended release. Because I am very active and regularly am away from home, I now use it when I am competing in Archery or going to be at a location where it would be difficult to stop what I am doing in order to take my medication. This works great for me and allows me to regulate my daily dosage.

My story is completely different than most, I had COVID before it was officially named in JANUARY 2020. I experienced my first symptoms of MG during the final days of my recovery from COVID. I was diagnosed with MG 6 months later after my symptoms had become much more severe. I have not and will not take the vaccine. I have been exposed the the virus several times since I originally recovered and have not come down with COVID. My MG is under control at this time with only the occasional flare, usually do to excessive heat and over exercise. I have been advised by several people in the medical field , including my doctor, not to take the vaccine.
