I am my neurologist first patient with this antibody. I have been on IVG since diagnosed. It really helps me. Iโm now 75. Iโve had to get a port. IVG is rough on your veins I would suggest getting one. Headache is common which Iโve had. Going to try Periactin instead of Benadryl. I really feel good most of the time. I also had bulbar symptoms. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

MemberApril 22, 2025 at 4:52 pm in reply to: Can you describe the period when you first began to notice symptoms of MG?Iโm similar to you in that in June of 2022 I pulled to a stop at a road intersecting another the angle was to the right where you had to turn sharply to see if cars were coming from the right when I looked back for traffic from the left each car had 2 on top of it I had to close an eye to see only one. That kept repeating so I went to an eye doctor who told me my Perscription was over treating my astigmatism too much and gave me a new script. That didnโt work either. Then the journey started.

My doctor has not mentioned any other treatments. I think we are very limited in what we will have because there are no clinical trials due to there being so few of us. I started watching MG conferences on YouTube to learn more but stopped because maybe they will mention it but thatโs it. One doctor said Iโve never had a patient with this and thatโs it. I did get a bad headache a couple of times but it went away.
