My speech varies from day to day. Sometimes so slurred I can not be understood.

Add a little brain fog, when it is hard to find words….makes for a great day.

I just started IvIG. I’m feeling an improvement.

When really bad I had to take time and carefully form my words. It did make it easier to be understood. There was little I could do if my weak voice could not be heard in a noisy environment.

Before I was diagnosed with MG, my speech sounded like I had a stroke. No one could understand me. Since being on Mestinon, my speech is good.

Prior to my MG diagnosis, slurred speech had me wondering if I was having the world’s longest stroke. Mestinon and IVIg therapies have since helped but my speech still worsens the more I use it. Speech difficulties (Dysarthria) became the symptom that eventually impacted my ability perform at work (aerospace manufacturing management, technical training/instruction).
