Dyshidrotic Eczema, side-effect from MG, plus/or the usual pills we take?
I mentioned this elsewhere in answer to Prednisone side effects but felt it needed its own thread. This is what I posted.
“Ken, you mention rash. I have developed a skin rash on my palms first and then my feet and it’s called Dyshidrotic Eczema, rather nasty and creams are not working. I first thought it could be a side effect of IVIG as had huge doses the last few months basically because Vyvgart had brought my igg levels to a dangerous low level, now I’m wondering if this is MG related? I don’t know?”
Anyone?
I looked up IVIG(Gammunex-C) side effects and this skin disease, albeit rare, was one of them. And yet a few have mentioned rash due to prednisone, so wondered where on earth this has suddenly come from? and has anyone had or have this. It’s painful and hands feels like sandpaper. Been off the steroids now for about two weeks. Still taking Cellcept and Mestinon(when needed). Still have muscle weakness and sight not good but now with this rash, think to myself, what next?

I got a bad rash on my upper body and head, not really itchy but you knew it was there. Sometimes the rash would break out and bleed a bit. No one ever named it.
They are weaning me off predsione now and rash is disappearing.
I guess I just lived with it.
