Jennifer Thompson replied to the topic Pyridostigmine Side effect or allergic reaction? in the forum Healthcare and Myasthenia Gravis 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Thank you for all of the responses! I am taking 1/4 tablet at a time… seasonal allergies can confuse what’s going on but I think it’s going ok.
I went from no medications to IVIG and they are trying to get vyvgart approved and now my neuro told me he really thinks Cellcept would help toward remission. I was trying to avoid Cellcept or Imura…[Read more]

I may have asked this before. I tried pyrogestimine last year and developed a raw burning mouth. I discontinued using it for 2 weeks and tried again and the same response. It’s not like it’s mildly sore, it’s pretty annoying/concerning. But once again after wanting some relief I talked to my neuro and they suggested 1/4 tablet to see what happe…[Read more]

Good Morning! My doctor is discussing Vyvgart with me and I am wondering about the respiratory and UTI risk? Has anyone experienced this happening? I know infection is a risk with a lot of treatments. I am just curious others experiences. Thank you!

Jennifer Thompson replied to the topic What Are Your Goals for the New Year? in the forum Hacks, Suggestions, and Tips for Living with Myasthenia Gravis 5 months ago
I think my biggest goal is to learn to meet myself where I am at. I am horrible at pushing it. I went from dancing, running and weights to coming home from the hospital in a wheelchair. I am now 8 months later still relying on a cane and a chair for long walking situations. I’ve come a long way and should be more understanding of myself. My n…[Read more]

Good afternoon,

Good Evening,

I was wondering as far as Mestinon goes does it help with the fatigue and muscle weakness? Also does it help deter a crisis? I’m trying to understand how it works and what all it’s supposed to be helping. Also I’m having winded feelings and hard times breathing at times when I eat. I explained it to my doc as not being able to breathe while I eat…[Read more]

Hello there, I was diagnosed over a month ago after about 2 years of “mystery symptoms” . I have multiple other autoimmune diagnoses but my primary thankfully ran the test for MG antibodies and we had an answer for the mystery. However I feel like I don’t have much of a grasp as how to handle it. I had my first appointment with my neuro…[Read more]
