Age 74. Generalized MG for 15 years. Had a large thymoma, pushing on my heart & lungs, removed as well as a partial thymectomy Jan 26, 2009. Long procedure, cut through muscle, spread ribs and collapsed left lung but these surgeons saved my life. EpithelialNeurologist prescribed a couple of steroids which made me ill, gave it up for IVIG. Reacted to IVIG 2nd infusion, added Solu-cortef & Benadryl before infusion, eventually stopped Solu-cortef….huge drop in BP.
