Transient Neonatal MG
According to Myasthenia Gravis News, transient neonatal MG is a rare form of myasthenia gravis (MG) that typically affects 10–20% of babies born to mothers with MG, including those with minimal or no disease symptoms.
According to MG News, the symptoms of transient myasthenia usually begin within the first 24 hrs after birth and include difficulties feeding and sucking, crying weakly, a lack of facial expression, and often breathing difficulties.
For those that have had children, did any of your infants develop transient myasthenia or any of these symptoms? What was your experience like? Do you know someone with MG who has experienced this?
