• MG fatigue patterns: Why does my fatigue get worse at night?

Posted by MG Community Member on January 11, 2026 at 10:00 am

MG fatigue patterns are one of the most common things people search for — especially when symptoms intensify in the evening. Muscle weakness, ptosis, and overall exhaustion often feel worse at night, and it can be confusing when you’re trying to understand your body’s new rhythms.

For me, evenings are when my body waves its white flag. After a day of “hurry up and wait” — a rhythm the Army trained into me long before MG did — my muscles often feel like they’re climbing a mountain in wet boots. Even simple tasks become harder as the day winds down.

    I’ve noticed that:

    • Heat makes my symptoms worse
    • Long conversations drain my voice into a whispered roar
    • Screen time increases eye fatigue
    • Activity earlier in the day shows up later
    • Planning low‑demand evenings helps me stay ahead of the crash._

Do your symptoms get worse at night? What patterns have you noticed in your MG fatigue?
