I was diagnosed with ocular over 20 years ago. After about a year I was said to be on drug free remission. Two years later I suddenly couldn’t hold my head up, couldn’t talk or swallow and was having difficulty breathing. My neuro gave me mestinon (which never worked for ocular) and high dose prednisone It took 2 years to get weaned off of prednisone and on to imuran. I have been on the imuran ever since. I am still bothered with weakness and find it hard to do the things I like to do.
