MemberJuly 26, 2023 at 9:35 am in reply to: Myasthenia gravis symptoms triggered from a topical (cream, ointment, serum, solution, antibiotic, steroid)?Not sure if this is classified as “Topical”, but Lydacain can definitely cause severe problems (Lung collapse). I think it can be applied as a topical before an injection.

I found with azathioprine I lost my appetite and the food didn’t taste as it should. Also, the chewing problem didn’t help either. Long story short I’m down about 20 LBS. but slowly gaining some back.

I’ve dropped 30 pounds in the last year and blamed it on lack of appetite caused by azathioprine. I find I get “full” after eating less food at mealtimes. Some things just don’t have the expected taste either.

I don’t think the MG was affected, but now on the 12th I feel lethargic. Just have no interest in doing anything -could be the weather or old age. Flu shot is next, but have to wait to schedule between IVIG treatments.BTW my arm was really sore after the shot for a couple of days, but I think the nurse put the needle in too high.
