i have been on IVIG for 5 years during which i have never had a crisis. at first it was done at the hospital. for the last 3 years i do it myself at home sub-cutaneously. No need to go into the veins. The infusion of Cuvitru takes about 4 hours once weekly. it has become a normal part of my life.

  • I have refractory MG and was hospitalized twice for severe flare ups. About 5 years ago I had a course of Rituximab and have since been on weekly IVIG infusions (Cuvitru). My symptoms (speech, chewing, swallowing, breathing) have been well controlled ever since allowing me to live a fairly normal life. Most people would never know I had MG.

I have been on weekly Cuvitru infusions (IVIG) that I do myself for the last 3 years along with 10 mg of daily Prednisone. My MG has been stable ever since without any flare ups or hospitalizations. The whole process takes about 4 1/2 hours. It is a small price to pay for a normal lifestyle.

I am 73 and have suffered from MG for 6 or 7 years. After 2 hospitalizations I had a course of Rituximab which worked wonders. Now on daily Prednisone and once weekly Cuvitru infusions. This combination has allowed me to return to sports. I a back playing USTA competitive tennis (for my age group) and can get through a 2 hour match. However, I am exhausted afterwards. I also manage to play 9 holes a few times a week. I am waiting for Vyvgart to be approved in Canada at which time I will talk to my neurologist about it.

I suffer from refractory MG and nothing seemed to work. I was hospitalized twice. I then had a series of Rituximab infusions. That was 3 years ago. It was like a miracle. With the help of 10 mg Prednisone daily and weekly Cuvitru infusions that I do at home I now live a pretty normal life. I am able to work and regularly play tennis and golf.  i recommend it wholehartedly.

I had a course of Rituximab 4 years ago and have not had a crisis or hospitalization since. I have since remained stable with low dose Prednisone and weekly IVIG.

I have had 4 Moderna vaccinations. Slight flu-like symptoms the following day but nothing significant. Level of MG symptoms (speech, swallowing) did not change. MG has been controlled with 10 mg Prednisone daily and weekly Cuvitru infusions of 190 ml. for the last several years.

My first symptoms and symptoms to this day involve speech and swallowing difficulties. Contolled for the past 3 years with low dose Prednisone and weekly Cuvitru sub-Q. The treatment doesn’t eliminate the symptoms but keeps them at a level where I can function.
