The Taste of Prednisone-How Can You Mask It?
When I was at my weakest, I wasn’t able to swallow my prednisone pills. My only option was to crush and mix them with either pudding or apple sauce.
We all know how bad prednisone tastes. I can’t really describe it, but I remember how my entire body tensed up the first time I took it. So when I had to mix it with apple sauce or pudding, it was one of the most disgusting things I had ever tasted.
If you have had to crush prednisone, or another type of medication, and mix it with food, what did it taste like? Do you have any recommendations on the best types of soft foods to mix with prednisone so the taste isn’t overwhelmingly bad?
