I have been taking hot showers just before bedtime. Seems to be the best time since the hot water tends to fatigue me.

I had a question about that also. I searched google and found it to be an antibody and not a protein like we find in food. Hopefully they will continue to test cd59 and find some relief for us.

My wife is an angel. Luckily I haven’t had a real bad case but she still makes the bed and cooks the food.
I have another condition that bothers me more than the MG. The C4 and C5 discs are a little out of line and the subsequent pinching causes not only pain in my neck but also tightness in my diaphragm due to the phrenic nerve which is connected to the C4and C5. I will get shots in the neck to see if that gives me relief.

I also have the neck weakness and pain. I believe the pain is due to arthritis. I use heat pack in the morning and cold pack in the afternoon. Then I have a hand held massager which all seems to help. The mestinon works for a few hours. Trying to get back into golf again and at least I don’t have any problem keeping my head down

I believe my first signs occurred about 3 years ago. I was an avid walker, sometimes as much as 7 miles. I started feeling a tugging on my diaphragm causing me to stoop over and causing breathing problems. This went on for a year and then stopped. Another year passed and it returned but worse. Then my neck got involved, partially due to RA and I was getting more classic symptoms like swallowing and chewing. Finally my MD sent me to a neurologist and my concerns were validated. Mestinon seems to be handling the problem and I try and exercise daily along with oral exercises.
