Short Bio

I was diagnosed with MG 10 years ago, and my MG is well controlled with azathioprine except for persistent double vision. I’ve given up on mestinon because even small doses make me nauseated. My caregiver is a marvelous neurologist–a professor of neurology at the medical school of a large university–who specializes in MG and ALS. I see him twice a year when the MG is well controlled. I’ve had quite a few IVIG treatments without incident.

I’m an author and medical writer. My husband is an MD (virologist), and when we have Zoom visits my husband gives me a light “physical exam” (by request of my neurologist, who directs and observes).
