If you have received Ultomiris infusions, I’d like to hear of your successes or experiences. What led you to take this course of action? Have you tried other alternatives before choosing Ultomiris?
It seems there have been so many advances in treatment in the past few years, this is very encouraging. Looking to the future (several years out) I’ve read about a new approach to bring about remission or even elimination of autoimmune diseases such as MS and MG. A recent publication from the Russell labs at the University of Chicago details experiments in Inverse Vaccines – a way to teach T-cells that certain proteins are safe and shouldn’t be destroyed, preventing harm to neurons, for example. I’d love to hear what you think of these promising technologies.
