In May of 2023 I was diagnosed with MG. The diagnosis occurred when I was admitted to the hospital with a Myasthenic Crisis. Prior to the crisis, I had Dysarthria symptoms that my doctor and I both thought was from an allergic reaction. There were no other symptoms until I went into crisis.
During the crisis the doctors found that I had Thymoma. Once I was stable from the crisis, we set a plan for a Radical Thymectomy. The surgery was successful but I went into a second crisis immediately following the surgery. I’ve now been through two crises in two months and have had two major surgeries.
