I got MS whilst recovering from heart surgery over 2 years age. I lost my ability to speak, eat and drink. I was hospitalised for 3 months and apart from other medication was on 70 mg daily of prednisolone. I then developed diabetes, (now controlled by diet) and my eye sight deteriorated very quickly necessitating the removal of cataracts  on both eyes.  I lost over 20 kilos in weight and my life changed completely. Up until the surgery I was very active.  Whilst trying to develop the muscles in my legs my left calf stopped responding and wasted, being unable to raise on my right foot. An MRI scan showed no brain issues but my leg remains a problem.  Maybe someone out there has experienced a similar problem and may be able to advise re treatment.
