I am 71 y/o with no history of autoimmune diseases. I was diagnosed by a very sharp ophthalmologist after developing double vision. A trip to Mayo Clinic (MN) confirmed the diagnosis.  Only one flare up requiring hospitalization in the past year.  The flare up was caused by a fever of 100.7.
