Recently diagnosed this year with MG and have had IVIG and currently on Mestinon and Rituxen IV every 4 months. I also suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Diabetes (Type 2), and struggle with the overwhelming depression that the old me is dead. I will never be the guy who works on cars and builds things and rides a Harley like I was before. Having trouble coming to terms with my new reality MG has forced upon me and it forcing me to fight all day everyday, is so frustrating .I’m doing it but, I’m tired of having to fight to eat, shower, brush my teeth, get dressed, etc without losing all my breath and throwing myself into crisis from over exertion. So, It helps reading stories of others that have dealt with this for years and how different treatments and support systems keep them going. It gives me hope.
