I am 63 and together with my dear wife I have 4 grownup children, of which one is severely mentally and physically handicapped. We live in a village at the French border in Belgium, called Kemmel at foot of the highest hill in Flanders, called the ‘Kemmelberg’, literally ‘Mount Kemmel’, which is only 450 feet high. But as the Flemish proverb says “‘One-eye’ is king in the kingdom of the blind”. The Channel is 20 miles from here and we live in straight line 150miles from Paris, 100 miles from London, 150 miles from Amsterdam and 100 miles from Brussel.

I was diagnosed with Myasthenia age 60 (probably already had the condition  longer than that) and was soon forced to close my very successful one-man-business ‘Frontline Tours’ (frontline-tours.com).

We are a few of the rare practicing christians in Belgium.

As I am now learning my 9th language, you will understand that I go on internet sites from many countries in the world. I do not know any site giving such good information about myasthenia as myastheniagravisnews.

Due to 7 underlying conditions in our family, during Covid My wife, our daughter and me had to isolate ourselves and were quasi-quarantined for 1,5 years.
