My husband developed sudden onset ptosis/MG, confirmed by the antibodies blood test. His ocular symptoms rapidly began to include end-of-day fatigue and painful muscles. His MG began approximately 30 days after the second Pfizer vaccine in July 2021. We have told very few trusted family members and close friends because we are not antivaxxers, and even now would welcome any protection afforded by booster vaccination. We took the gamble and assumed the risk to protect ourselves and others. In reading early (it’s all early) scientific literature, there sometimes appears to be a positive bias in favor of the vaccine – no doubt, and understandably, due to scientific alarm regarding vaccination hysteria. It is deeply concerning the possibility that this could cloud honest scientific mining for rare autoimmune immunization events.
