  • Worsening MG symptoms with viruses

Catching a cold or flu can multiply the impact of symptoms when you live with MG. Even a mild virus can make swallowing, breathing, strength, or fatigue feel noticeably worse. It can be frustrating, scary, and stressful knowing that something routine for others becomes a much bigger deal for your body.

    • How does your MG usually react when you’re sick with a virus?

    • Do you have any routines or precautions that help you get through it?

    Hi Jody,

Since the pandemic, I’ve only been sick once and that was when I caught Covid from my wife. I got over that pretty quick once I had the appropriate medicine. I wear a mask whenever I go outside where there’s people. I wear a mask if people come into our house. I don’t eat out because I don’t want to be in a restaurant with my mask off and with a lot of people around me. Of course I wash my hands a lot. But I worked my very hardest at not getting a cold, flu, or virus of any sort. I know a lot of people don’t have the luxuries that I have and not having to go out and in wearing a mask everywhere I go. I’m lucky with that.

    Love and Light
