Runners with MG
Curious to learn of anyone out there who is a runner with MG and learning what subsequent changes/affects it has had. Diagnosed in 2018 at age 71 with Generalized/Ocular MG, my running ability has been reduced by 50%. It’s now more a run/walk. Originally on Prednisone…fears forced me to discontinue, now on Mestinon – neither made any difference in day to day activities. Since meds are not working, my goal is excessive build up of leg muscles hoping to offset/compensate the 50% reduction in receptor activity. Any thoughts ideas would be welcome – thank you!
