October Is Health Literacy Month!
Health literacy is when everyone has access to accurate health information and can make the best healthcare decisions for themselves and their loved ones. When I was first diagnosed with MG, I had a hard time finding information. My neurologist at the time didn’t have much experience with MG either.
It took a while for me to really understand MG, but I now feel much more informed about it. This helps me make better decisions about my health.
Do you think health literacy is important? Did you have trouble understanding MG when you were first diagnosed? Do you feel like you you still need to learn more about MG/treatments/experiences?
