Yes my swallowing, speaking and breathing weaknesses led to a choking episode where I had to go to the ER. I was on a pureed diet when a new barium study showed swallowing weakness, and am still on a softer food diet after 6 months.

New medication helped arrest these and other bulbar symptoms as well as general fatigue. But I still have to be careful, especially after I’ve been in the sun, or when I feel fatigued. I still eat and have longer conversations based on my Mestinon schedule. Bulbar symptoms are very serious in MG and have to be monitored
